Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Kachi, AI visibility, and getting started.

Pricing & Plans

How is pricing determined?
Kachi pricing is based on your specific usage: log volume, number of domains, data ingestion method, and analytics depth. Contact our team for a custom quote tailored to your needs.
What counts as a domain?
A domain is a unique website you want to track (e.g., example.com). Subdomains (blog.example.com) count as the same domain as your main site.
What's included in onboarding?
Every Kachi deployment includes sales-assisted onboarding. Our team helps configure log ingestion, set up dashboards, and train your team on the platform.
What kind of support is included?
Support tiers range from email support for smaller teams to dedicated success managers with SLA guarantees for enterprise clients. All plans include onboarding assistance and access to our documentation.
Does Kachi require installing a tracking pixel or JavaScript on my site?
No. Kachi reads your server access logs directly — there is no tracking code, no JavaScript snippet, and no performance impact on your site. Log delivery is handled server-side via Cloudflare Logpush, your CDN, or a scheduled log pull from your server.
How long does it take to get set up?
Most clients are live within one to two weeks. Onboarding covers log access configuration, dashboard setup, GA4 and GSC integration, and a team walkthrough. Our team handles the technical setup end-to-end.

Product & Integrations

Do you support Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?
Yes, Kachi offers full GA4 integration. You can connect via OAuth, select your property, and import sessions, users, engagement metrics, and revenue data to compare against AI activity logs.
What GA4 data do you import?
We import sessions, users, engaged sessions, engagement rate, conversions (key events), and revenue when available. Data is imported at both daily aggregate and landing page levels.
How do you compare GA4 with AI activity?
Kachi correlates AI bot visits and LLM-referred human sessions with GA4 conversions and revenue. We segment cohorts by AI-influenced vs non-AI to show the incremental impact of AI visibility.
How does the attribution window work?
We offer same-day attribution for immediate conversions and 2-14 day windows for longer consideration cycles. This captures both impulse purchases and research-driven decisions influenced by AI.
What data sources does Kachi support?
Kachi ingests server access logs (Apache, Nginx, CDN logs), Google Search Console data, GA4 analytics, and can integrate with custom data pipelines for enterprise deployments.

Dashboard & Metrics

What is AI Indexing?
AI Indexing measures when AI platforms cache and index your pages to serve them as pre-built answers to user queries. The main AI Indexing vendors Kachi tracks are Apple, You.com, Amazon, Petal, and Meta — these platforms pre-fetch and store your content rather than fetching it live. High AI Indexing counts mean your content is being cached at scale across major AI ecosystems.
What is AI Realtime Retrieval?
AI Realtime Retrieval captures on-demand fetches — when AI systems pull your pages live during an active user query to get current information. This indicates your content is a trusted real-time source, particularly important for time-sensitive or fast-changing topics. Key vendors include OpenAI (ChatGPT), Perplexity, Claude, and Meta.
What is the LLM Breakdown section?
The LLM Breakdown shows three separate vendor panels — one for each AI interaction type. AI Indexing leaders are typically Apple, You.com, Amazon, Petal, and Meta. AI Realtime Retrieval is dominated by OpenAI, Perplexity, Claude, and Meta. Each panel shows hit counts and month-over-month change per vendor so you can track which platforms are growing in importance for your content.
How do I interpret the SEO vs AI comparison?
This comparison shows how your traditional search performance (via Google Search Console) relates to your AI visibility. It helps identify pages that perform well in search but may be underrepresented in AI answers, or vice versa — revealing your biggest AI optimization opportunities.
What does the LLM-Referred Conversions section show?
This section tracks conversions from users who arrived at your site through AI platforms. It shows the direct business impact of AI visibility by connecting AI-referred traffic to your GA4 conversion events and revenue.

About Kachi

What is Kachi?
Kachi is an AI visibility and attribution platform that helps businesses understand how AI platforms discover, cite, and drive traffic to their content. We provide analytics for the AI-driven web.
What is Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)?
AEO is the practice of optimizing your content and website to be discovered, understood, and cited by AI systems. Unlike traditional SEO which focuses on search rankings, AEO focuses on being discoverable by AI crawlers, providing authoritative answers, and optimizing for AI citations.
Which AI platforms does Kachi track?
Kachi tracks all major AI platforms including ChatGPT (GPTBot), Claude (ClaudeBot), Perplexity, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and emerging AI search engines. We continuously add support for new AI systems.
How is Kachi different from traditional SEO tools?
Traditional SEO tools focus on search engine rankings and organic traffic. Kachi specifically tracks AI bot activity, AI-referred traffic, and AI citation patterns—metrics that don't exist in traditional SEO tools.
Is Kachi GDPR and CCPA compliant?
Yes. Because Kachi analyzes server-side access logs rather than using browser cookies or JavaScript trackers, there is no cross-site tracking and no consent requirement for the core analytics pipeline. Enterprise clients can deploy the entire pipeline within their own AWS environment for full data sovereignty.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Kachi processes your server logs and analytics data with enterprise-grade security. Data is isolated per client — no cross-client access. We never share your data with third parties, and enterprise clients can deploy in their own cloud environment for maximum control.
